In September of 2019, Richard and Pascal came together to work out a concept that would later form the foundation of OPES JET.

Richard Hekker and Pascal Barreau are both well-known figures and considered veterans in the business aviation industry. Their combined experience of over 50 years ranges all aspects of the industry from business jet operations and sales, to airline-and aircraft financing, charter brokering, and senior airline management.

Richard was the group CEO and shareholder at Air Allgäu Group, Germany’s 3rd oldest airline, where he met Pascal, who he hired as commercial director. Together they formed a strategy to combat the shortcomings of the charter industry they suffered in the previous 20 years. This strategy became the foundation on which OPES JET was born.

Richard is the main shareholder in OpesJet and has taken on the role of CEO to drive our corporate strategy for future success. Pascal is a major shareholder in OpesJet, and will ensure the day-to-day operations as COO.
